Hello,
Through the introduction of a friend, I have somewhat regularly visited your blog for few months. I am very impressed by the breadth and depth of your knowledge, and hope to express my appreciation of your intersting and inspiring view points.
I work in the field of cognitive neuroscience. If you will be in Taiwan at some point, I would love to invite you to visit my lab and our institute - only if you are willing to accept the invitation, of course. I hope I don’t sound too much like a freak. I just thought I would say hello to other people who are also in this field, even you are currently abroad.
I look forward to your response, however, please feel no obligation to reply. Happy new year!

Hi Denise Wu,
Thanx for your kind words. I’d love to visit your lab, but unfortunately I do not plan to go home in the near future (mostly due to teaching obligations). I certainly would like to drop by when I get a chance. Which department are you in?

Hey,
I am in the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at National Central University. You can find the information of our program online
http://www.ncu.edu.tw/%7Encu5200/a_01.php
From your articles, I can only figure that you are doing neuroscience research in vision in CA, but not sure in which program. If you feel comfortable sharing more information in your blog or e-mail, that would satisfy my curiosity.
Anyway, I look forward to reading more of your articles and actually meeting you in person when you are in Taiwan.

Hi Denise,
I am afraid that I don’t want to be too specific about my identity on this blog. You never know if your blog would be used against you in the future.
I’d love to get to know you better. I’ll post a email address a few days later so that people can email me. Thanx.

I totally understand, so please feel no pressure. You can contact me via my e-mail. Cheers!
